Milkshakes and Mimosas at one of Austin’s most Popular Pop-ups.

From wild themes to whacky flavors, the ever-popular pop-up concept is taking over Austin’a food scene and we’re loving it! This pseudo-European trendy concept is a chance to try new and incredible cuisine and recipes from various talented chefs by hosting a temporary “pop-up” kitchen featuring one guest chef at a time.  Each popup is unique and lasts only a short time, making it a truly one-of-a-kind food experience.

IMG_5833Fellow VIVA Lifestyle and Travel vlogger Christine Grosso and I got to check out one of Austin’s most poppin popups at the Peached Social House, where the massive milkshakes and mouthwatering mimosas brought crowds of hungry visitors.

IMG_5830Tickets were required at 20 bucks a pop and included a larger-than-life freak shake (with the option to add cupcake vodka for additional cost) or Birthday Cake Mimosa, along with fun fixins for your shake including twizzler sticks and candy bracelets. But this sweet weekend milkshake popup was so much more than just food. The Peached Social House brought out the big guns for the Sunday event with a live DJ, photo booth with fun accessories and pastries from local pastry chef Janina O’Leary of Play Dough Popup.

IMG_5841On the menu: A behemoth blueberry shake rimmed with a cookie-crumb crusted rim and topped with frosted donuts and whipped cream, the “I Drink your Milkshake” with chocolate malt and chocolate donuts and the adorable Birthday Cake mimosa, complete with cake frosting rim, whipped cream and a birthday candle! Plus more delicious sweet treats from fellow locals Play Dough. To say that these shakes are decadent is a gross misunderstatement! Everything was packed, filled, stuffed and topped with sugar, sugar and more sugar! And we loved every bit!

IMG_5832When asked about the inspiration behind the milkshake popup, manager Eric said “we started the popup during SXSW and the milkshakes were super popular! And this time we wanted add even more fun to the popup to complete the experience.”

IMG_5843Indeed this straw-slurping, finger licking, donut-licious popup is an experience unto itself and a must-try for all food fans and adventures alike. Check out a sneak peak of the limited-time Peached Social House popup here.
